I'm sure 4.29 solved some problems, however it introduced a new problem. When in the food selection both the Recent and Frequent have their tops cropped off at the top of the screen. Same thing happens when you want to add calories to the top numeric entry field which is cutoff.
One has to wonder about all these updates but never getting very far.
43 days later I finally get this issued resolved for me. Never mind the myriad of previous problems and those that others are reportedly still exist. During this long wait there has been no comments from Google, even the Moderators have nothing meaningful to communicate. Google has lost my loyalty and respect for treating customers this way. I for one will not be renewing my Premium subscription. I got tired of waiting and I am using Cronometer. I regret buying the PW3 and my Pixel 9 XL Pro.

Same issues. Pixel 8 Pro with Pixel Watch 2. Seriously quit saying it's an Android issue. Yeah, it's an Android issue but it's a Google pixel issue.

Which apps have you noticed this on?

When we say it's an Android 15 issue, it means the problem is caused by changes to Android OS which each app developer needs to take into account in their app, to avoid this problem. So in this case the fault absolutely lies with the Fitbit app, and they need to do the fix, but it's caused by changes that were made in Android. Thus it effects every device that is now running Android 15, not just Pixel phones.

This is precisely why I am ignoring Google's reminder to update my Pixel tablet to Android 15.
If I could figure out how to revert my Pixel 7 Pro back to 14 I would.

finally here out of desperation, just want to add my voice to the chorus. this **ahem** is inexcusable. adding custom foods is super important to everyone's ability to use the app as intended.
Fix it. Put a bandaid on it for now if you have to. Ffs just add two "dummy options" to the top of the list so we can click on what we need

Definitely would fix at least part of the issue! Hey Fitbit moderators has this been tried?

I'm sure it's been talked about in meeting after meeting after meeting... but I'm sure it's not a solution up to their standards. I can only imagine the glacial pace of change within whatever teams handle these kinds of issues
A bit off topic but related to the above: the more they focus on a "slicker" UI, the less data we have access to and the harder it is to use. This isn't Apple. Please just give us FUNCTIONS and DATA. I don't think anyone serious actually cares what shade of blue things are or what radius is on the corner of the buttons.
Used to be able to go to the Weight section and just scroll down to see every single Weight log entry you ever made... Now you have to do it month by month - it's just dumbed down to look nice on a Powerpoint presentation that no one will remember.

Maybe not up to their "standards" but an ugly working app is better than a broken one.
Also I've used this app and I'm not sure they have any standards. It's been a buggy mess as long as I've used it (≈1 year).

Yay! OnePlus Open got Android 15!
Boo, immediately gets the Fitbit app bug and can't keep logging my food properly.
+1 please fix this quick. I'm disheartened to read this has been going on for a month. We just need a quick fix while you make whatever bigger changes you wanna make longer term. Two blank options at the top of each list as suggested would do fine.

I'm on Android 13. My last update was 11/9/24 and that is the latest vs for the Note 20. I'm on Fitbit vs 4.3. 0. The fitbit app worked
as usual until approximately 12/1/24. On another thread for this problem someone said they un-installed the Fitbit vs and installed the previous version which fixed the problem. Not sure how they got a hold of the previous version to install but that makes more sense to me. Would love to try it.

This might be the last straw for me. Time to ditch the Fitbit app, maybe even get a different brand of smart watch.

I'm not sure it's Fitbit itself - others have indicated that it's an Android or Pixel update, but it doesn't matter. Too bad they're spending billions on AI and can't properly code an app that you can basically replicate in Excel

This is actually insane how long this has been going on without a fix, especially that it's on Pixel Phones, which are first party relative to Fitbit...

Google knows how to fix this, beyond doubts. If they haven't done so, it must be because there's something bigger around it. Gotta be.

Guys, chill, it's not conspiracy, it's bureaucracy
aka The people that know how to fix this are not the same people that decide how to fix this
It's a class issue ngl

Pixel 7 pro user here having exactly the same issue with the Fitbit app. Very unhappy customer. I was thinking of upgrading my pixel watch but this has really put me off investing in it. I hope there is a resolution soon.
