Pixel watch 2: much less reliable resting heart rate, sleep scoring, and hourly step count mismatche

I've been in the fitbit camp for several years -- and while there is an occasional glitch, I've not seen as many strings of issues as I've had lately with the  pixel watch 2 (previously sense/sense2, versa, ionic, etc)

-no sleep score in a week
-no resting heart rate for stretches of several days
-hourly steps: I play the "game" by getting my steps, confirming it on the watch app showing the hours checked off only to find the credit for a given hour being removed later.

I've seen these problems reported frequently but no satisfying answers.    Please provide some hope on the root cause and progress fixing them.

Hi, @lance.lascari, welcome, I've had my PW2 since launch when I got it in a package with the Pixel 8Pro, and I can't say I've seen the issues you describe. As an experienced Fitbit user, you are probably aware of the usual steps to look at but you might find these articles a useful prompt to review where you are.

A particular issue noted recently with the PW2 is that if you do not have the clock screen always on notifications to move are sometimes absent. I assume you keep the PW watch app up to date on your phone but remember to check the watch is up to date (it will only automatically update if it's being charged) Touch the button above the crown> Play Store>swipe right up to the bottom>manage settings>update all (if shown)

I keep getting an error message when trying to reply, so I give up.
