My amazing watch is a brick because my Google Pixle XL updated to android 9.0 and now my watch can't pair with my phone to update. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE update

Syncing issues with Android 9 are affecting a number of people.

Thanks. I see that thread was started almost a year ago and they are still working on the android pie issue. i followed the suggestions from last month and still no effect. How is Fitbit not able to update their gear to work with android? This seems like a huge red flag for the company. I'm gonna see if i can refund my watch and go with another company. A $300 watch shouldn't have these issues

I moved the thread to the Android Board, to keep the order of the Community! It will also get the attention needed.
As @SteveH mentioned, there are some users that are having the same situation with the update to Android 9. Our team is already working on solving this.
@Android_9_0 please verify that the Fitbit app on your Pixel XL is up to date. You can also try to delete the cache from the Fitbit app on your phone.
