My sleep graph changed 2 days ago. I only have Awake, Sleep and Restless now. What happened to the Red, Light Blue, Dark Blue indicators like a landscape of what my pattern was??

Can I get this back? It's more in depth and I was learning more. This "new" graph of staight bars is awful and useless to me.

PLEASE help!

Hi Newbie 101
It did resolve for me, but I am not sure which step "fixed" it:
-I reinstalled the app
-I pulled out and re-inserted the fitbit dongle on my laptop. (My machine
is so old I have to use a dongle to connect the fitbit to the app). I
suspect that this might have been the issue with the failure to sync issue
that started the whole problem.

When I downloaded last night's sleep data (first night collected after the
reinstalls), it displayed in the new format again (REM, deep, light,
awake). However the three days prior to that still display in the old
graphs. Then the days prior to that have the new graphs, back to the point
when they released the upgrade. It is very odd, but I'm glad to have that
feature back. Is my new favorite, so I hope it doesn't bounce back to the
old format again as yours did.

Not sure why wrist position would determine graph data, unless they are
saying it can't display the new graphs if it can't collect your heartrate
data while you are sleeping. The algo determines your sleep phase by
combining your heartrate and movement data. So I guess if it were
positioned incorrectly and couldn't get heartrate, it might have problems.
But that seems a much less likely explanation than something about the app
changing.

I don't think you have to worry about losing data when you reinstall the
app. No expert on this, but the data are stored in the company's
cloud/server/whatever. The app (I think) is just the connector between your
fitbit and your viewing device (phone, tablet, computer).

Good luck I hope you get your graphs back!

I'm so disappointed. I seriously hope this isn't an update....I can't seem to find an answer that explains what caused it. Hopefully it works out...

*sigh*

Does everyone having this issue have an Android phone? And did everyone using the Android phone have a software update that occurred right before this change happened? That is the only thing I can think of.

I do have an android phone. I think it did do an update.  I am so disappointed that this has happened. Tracking my sleep is one of the reasons I purchased this.

I also just reverted to the old graphs. Would like the new graphs back that show different stages (REM, deep, light, awake). Have a Charge 2 running on Windows 7 (yes, really). Change happened when I installed a bunch of Windows updates and then had to reinstall fitbit connect. Hoping it will go back to the new graphs. Can't find any info on why this happened.

Did reinstalling Fitbit App help?

My husband suggested that but I wasnt sure if it would erase my stats by uninstalling and reinstalling on my phone. I did contact Fitbit and they suggested me wearing it higher up on my wrist.  I did and got the Rem, Deep Sleep, etc graph back... but these last 2 nights I noticed I have gotten the Awake/Restless Sleep graph again (the one that I hate).....  I'm going to contact them AGAIN but this is so discouraging to me.... I loved this feature and now it's just a hit and miss.... hoping to find an answer....

Thank you for all the information!

Will definitely save this! I did get my graph back after moving my Fitbit up further on my arm, but it seriously can't be placed much higher!

I did contact Fitbit and they want me to keep them posted on any changes.  I absolutely love this feature and woyld hate to see it change.  It too is my favorite feature!

Thanks again for all the tips and the time you all took to respond to my questions/problem!

Till next time 😊
