I've made our Android Team aware of this; they are currently working on getting this resolved. When I hear an update from them I will make sure to share it with everyone here. On the android app, the favorites tab is missing when i go to log my food. I have restarted my device and logged out but it is still not there. I am using version 2.27.

And our moderator from last week remains silent. Removing My Foods from the mobile app, if anything more than an oversight, would make the mobile app for food entry almost useless.

Fitbit food log is doubling. Have two aps syncing and not sure how to get it to record only one daily food log

In addition to the app crashing when loading a custom food, I no longer have a My Foods tab to choose from.

@bbumino @Morbius Interesting about the "My Foods" tab. I've reached out to our product team to let them know about this and should have an update for this soon. Thanks for the reports.

The missing Favorites tab has also happened to me. Favorites shows up online, but not within my Android app. I have restarted, and logged out and back into the app. Still missing.

I've given up with 2.27 and done as otherd have suggested and installed 2.25 from apk mirror. Works a treat. Won't be installing any updates in future until proven to work.

I am getting frustrated with the app.
First the added meals stopped working and now the favorites/in foods tab disappeared.

Starting to wonder if finding a good food tracking all might be better and less frustration.

Yes, please fix this problem soon. I cannot use the "my foods" tab on the webpage dashboard from my phone or tablet. I am only able to access it from my PC. This is very inconvenient.

This happened to me also, I called and was told they took it out with the last update. I have no idea why they would do that, I use it daily. I reported it by calling. Maybe if enough people call they will put it back.

@MrsSB71 I don't recommend installing insecure apps from unknown sources instead of from the official Google Play Store, as you may be at risk of virus/malware infection attacks.

@estgad @Anon01 @RoamerRoo We're working on getting it resolved. I will update everyone here once I have something new to share. Thanks for taking the time to report this and for your continued patience.

Thanks for the info, I guess they figured nobody used it. Wrong again Fitbit! I'm guessing that none of their development team actually uses a fitbit or the app. It amazes me that they keep removing features rather than adding. They probably moved it to premium, not enough that you spend $200 on a Blaze, they want more money to use it. Perhaps it's time to look for a replacement, Samsung, Apple, Garmin.

Since this thread is about the Android App and not about any tracker, I've moved it to the Android forum

I've been using the Android app since November 2016.

It has lost function with every update since March.

First, it lost the yellow stars that indicated that the item you searched for was on my favorites list.

Then it lost the ability to enter all my custom meals/foods (app crashed when I tried)

Now, my favorite food list is gone.

And, your technical service says that "it's not supposed to work with your phone!"  what, I've been using it since November.

Can I please just get an apk for the app from March?

Please?

It's losing functionality with every update.  It's now completely useless, and completely frustrating.  I've removed it from my phone.

It's a mobile app. I may not be where there is internet available.  I may not be connected to the internet for a week. I have GB's of storage on the phone. I can store my favorite & custom foods.  I can store downloaded data.  I should not need to be online to log food.   I should not have to log my food on a piece of paper.

Please add back:  custom foods, custom meals, favorite foods, and the stars when a search lands on one of my favorites.  All of these arevery useful, and made the app worth using.

OK. What is going on? They remove the favorites and keep the recent and frequent which have always been pretty much a copy of each other and never worked any way? On top of that the app no longer remembers what you ate together, which was cool to quickly log multiple items. The answer I received from customer service was to make each of the favorites a custom food. I have over 100 favorites. Now I have to manually create a custom food for each one? On top of that the app is craching when you try to log a custom food. Ridiculous!

I have been a fitbit user for a long time and have bought multiple ones as gifts, but I am inclined to start looking a other companies. This is unacceptable.

On a separate note, they might want to make sure their customer service people are fitbit users and that they use all items available. The lady I talked to had no idea what I was talking about cause she has never logged food with the app!

I noticed that when I flagged foods as favorites on the website dashboard that they would appear in a new tab called My Foods in the App when you open up menu to log food for the day through the Food Log. I really liked this feature. Now though the App won't pull it up. The food log only gives me the three tabs for Frequent, Recent, and Custom. How do I get the My Foods tab back?

Since the ap upgrade I have lost the "My Food" tab. Makes saving favorite foods pointless. Anyone else finding this? Fitbit please bring this feature back.
