Hey, everyone!

Thanks so much for your patience. We really appreciate your cooperation while we released the Fitbit for Android app version 2.77. It has been fully released to everyone, so please go to the Google Play Store and download it as soon as you can!

Many of you that already updated have confirmed you see your real-time heart rate back in the Fitbit app and that your steps/calories are updating. I will leave this thread open in case anyone has any issues, but I hope you are all set after updating. Thanks for all your help!

Fitbit Update 8/16/18:

Hi everyone - The fix for this issue will be out in our next app release which you can expect within the next 2 weeks.

We will provide an update in this thread once it has been released. Thanks again for all your patience and cooperation.

Fitbit Update 8/9/18: Hi everyone. Thanks for taking the time to report this issue here on the Android forum. I've passed your reports along to our engineering team so they can begin investigating. From what I've gathered, this issue is app specific and not affecting the Fitbit web dashboard (which is correctly showing all activity data as expected). To keep thing organized, I've merged several threads to this one.

I appreciate your patience and am sorry for any inconvenience this has caused. In the meantime, I welcome you to continue sharing your experiences here. In the meantime, you can view your current stats on the Fitbit web dashboard by logging into your account at fitbit.com

When I hear something new, I'll be sure to update the thread with the latest info. Robot Happy

Why does the word keep appearing on my cp

LanuzaFitbit, that was interesting suggestion. I tried and that was funny: the steps and calories data appeared for half second right after login then reset to 0 again. That's nice BUG.

My fitbit dashboard is tracking my miles  but the step count remains at zero. Anyone know a fix for this?

Is there any link to the previous version of the software? At least until this issue is sorted?

I have no live sync of steps, like so many others, since the app update. Every time it reverts to 0 steps and then, after slowly syncing the steps sync. But no live sync. Always the same, showing 0 steps then updating again etc...

My fitbit appears to have stopped syncing. I have turned bluetooth on & off. Restarted on pebble, and switched phone on & off But still showing zero steps on App. Then uninstalled & reinstalled & although initially showed steps it then went back to zero as soon as i hit sync????

Any update on this problem?  I've done everything in the help section but steps and calories are still not working properly.  It's clear others have the same problem.  I'm 1 week in with the fit bit and hoping this is not indicative of things to come.  Was very happy until this problem popped up.

mine also not showing heartbeat on my phone app. I have a Samsung galaxy S8+. any help out there

Go to Fitbit.com Dashboard and touch the gear icon at the upper right and then Charge 2.  Scroll down to the bottom of the page and Turn On "Live Data" and sync your tracker.

Same here. Received Charge HR 2 today. Everything seems to be working, except heart rate not showing on the android app! Now what?

I have LG G5 and got an update to the Fitbit app this morning.  Since then, when sync runs, total steps and calories go to 0, then after the sync, it shows my steps and calories.  It no longer updates the steps dynamically after a sync.  It used to show dynamic steps as long as I kept the app active. Now, I have to sync, watch my steps go to 0 and then wait to see my new steps. Since I have a Flex 2 with no display, I used to use the app to watch my steps.

My husband has just discovered his charge 2 is doing the same, wondering if
there's an issue at the moment?

Same thing happened to me last night. It started after my Samsung S7 Edge updated Fitbit software via the PlayStore.

Same thing is happening to me and I've tried all the troubleshooting steps. It updates online but not in the app. Very frustrating.

I've been having the same issues, driving me crazy as I tried everything.  If I touch the steps it goes into steps of the day and says 0, when I press on the 0 it takes me to another screen  and there's my steps.  Not on the home screen though.

Perhaps it hasn't truly synced.  To be sure, click the gear icon near top right of fitbit.com dashboard.  Next to the device name, it tells the last time it synced.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
