Hey, everyone!

Thanks so much for your patience. We really appreciate your cooperation while we released the Fitbit for Android app version 2.77. It has been fully released to everyone, so please go to the Google Play Store and download it as soon as you can!

Many of you that already updated have confirmed you see your real-time heart rate back in the Fitbit app and that your steps/calories are updating. I will leave this thread open in case anyone has any issues, but I hope you are all set after updating. Thanks for all your help!

Fitbit Update 8/9/18: Hi everyone. Thanks for taking the time to report this issue here on the Android forum. I've passed your reports along to our engineering team so they can begin investigating. From what I've gathered, this issue is app specific and not affecting the Fitbit web dashboard (which is correctly showing all activity data as expected). To keep thing organized, I've merged several threads to this one.

I appreciate your patience and am sorry for any inconvenience this has caused. In the meantime, I welcome you to continue sharing your experiences here. In the meantime, you can view your current stats on the Fitbit web dashboard by logging into your account at fitbit.com

When I hear something new, I'll be sure to update the thread with the latest info. Robot Happy

So annoying 🤔

they won't provide it and will probably delete this (they have now made is so if you type A P K without the spaces your post is held) so I hope you see it quickly but google android police or A P K mirror leaving out the spaces - they maintain a great site w/ all sorts of old versions of android apps - go back to 2.74.2   2.75 is a mess and broke GPS in the app

oops sorry about the wrong version to go back to 2.74.2 that is the one that is good.. oh and turn off auto update in the play store and just update manually once they release a version that doesn't immediately have people posting about things being broken

Mine is doing the same thing my steps are showing zero on my dashboard but when I hit the zero I see all my daily steps, todays is zero, when I hit that I can see all my steps for today on the graph. I uninstalled and reinstalled I saw my steps then they disappeared again. I repared, I restarted phone, logged in and out of fitbit, updated the app, I even set it up again and steps appear then disappeared again. Just started yesterday I'm out of ideas

My fitbit says I've stepped 9,806 times and burned 2,246 calories.

However on the app it still says zero. All other stats have synced e.g. exercise time and stairs climbed. Anyone any idea?

My Fitbit app won't show how many steps I have today. As you can see from the picture, I have walked 5.81 miles today and my Alta band shows I have 13k steps, but the app shows 0 steps. This has happened the past couple days. The next day the steps from the previous day show up. So tomorrow I expect to see that if I look back at today, it'll say I have 13k+ steps. I have tried restarting the app, my phone, and Fitbit. Any advice?

this makes no sense! I have done every update and have the 2.76 version and have a Samsung galaxy s9 plus and STILL the app does not list calories burned and steps and the items that do Cross over are clearly inaccurate .when will this be fixed ???

Same problem since yesterday. Heart rate and steps are no longer showing up in real time. Steps and heart rate data update with manual and automatic refresh but live data is not functioning. The heart rate tile on the dashboard either shows resting heart rate or "--" rather than real time info, steps update accurately on refresh but do track in real time. I've gone through the various update recommendations, manual restart with charging cable, logging in and out of app, removing and reinstalling app on phone, turning bluetooth off and on, restarting phone, and making sure all settings are properly set--none of these troubleshooting suggestions have been successful.

I agree completely . Their lack of communication is really disappointing. I spent all last evening thinking I did something wrong, and then early this morning while I was getting my steps in I decided to look on the Forum.

Hello,

I too followed the instructions you gave and my steps and calories showed for a few seconds and then went back to 0. Not sure what to do.

Side note: I have an Alta (not an alta HR).

Thanks for your help!

Mine is doing the same thing.  I see several posts about this within the past 24 hours so it seems to be a Fitbit glitch.  I'm going to call them.

For the past month or so my ionic has not been syncing regularly. I have read all the forums here and even chatted with fitbit support and nothing fixes the problem. My fitbit syncs for a bit after following all the suggested steps but whether it's a few hours or a day later, it inevitably stops syncing. It does this no matter what the charge is on the battery, or while plugged in. I even did a factory restore and it made no difference. My phone, the fitbit, and the app are all updated.

Edit; I also have all day sync, always connected, and keep alive widget turned on, but they make no difference.
