Hi, I am having the same issue since updating the app two days ago. I'm using a Samsung S8 and have tried uninstalling and re-installing twice with no luck

Hi all and Welcome - for all those that are having issues with receiving Notifications both on device and on phone you may have to reset a few things both on phone and in the app I have tried to explain these below and in the following link
https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Charge-2/Charge-2-no-more-notifications-when-reaching-daily-goals/m-... (go to message 10 (correct at time of writing) (Dated 16-07-2018 09:11) incase there have been more replies on that thread
on phone click settings and in search bar type notification Access and
look for Fitbit Sync Service notification and allow, close page
short version is you may need to do is check the privacy settings for the app specially on Android devices. Go to Settings > Apps > Fitbit > Permissions. Additionally go to Settings > Notification panel & Status bar > Notification Centre > Fitbit to allow the app to show notifications on your phone.
and on Phone in app - account>settings>scroll to advanced and check push notifications
the following link may give more suggestions also
How to get notifications on Fitbit Devices
Hope this Helps (No Guarantees as this maybe all incorporated into the App Update) hope they fix this quicker than the current food logging issues that has been ongoing for over 3 months and I have outstanding supposedly simple solution issues ongoing for 17 months - im not holding my breath for an immediate result - as they rely on workarounds rather than roll backs or fixes
Kind Regards
Wayne

This problem sounds like the known problem documented in this thread:
If so, then keep an eye on that thread as that's where the updates from fitbit will be posted.

I think this app problem with the step count may be the same as the known problem documented in this thread:
If so, then keep an eye on that thread as that's where fitbit will be posting updates.

Yep, seems they've messed something up then. Think we're all on the sand situation. 😥 Come on Fitbit, make it work again.

It may be that these problems with the missing live heart rate are being caused by a known bug that fitbit are addressing. Keep an eye on the following thread which has their latest updates:

If there is of any help, I've recorded how it looks when I log in from a newly installed app -> syncing -> observing the bug -> deleting app data -> logging in again -> syncing -> observing the bug

well, at least it isnt happening on our actual fitbits. And that we know it isn't just happening to any one person but is affecting us all. So, that should make them want to work faster.

Thanks but our problem in this topic isn't the getting notifications it the steps and calories burned going to zero each time we open the or sync the app/dashboard. This is called the "steps/calories revert to zero, no live HR" But really thank you.

@Newfitkitty Thank you - I am aware of the issue (Subject matter) of this forum - but was replying to @Akaelber1 who expressed they could not receive the data on my posting - I addressed all as I am aware that others who decide to use this function also have this problem - may I suggest you don't jump to conclusions before trying to berate assistance to others who ask ( help will always be given at Hogwarts/Fitbit to those who ask for it) 🙂 (yes the magic is when and if they will fix it)
Kind Regards
