Hey, everyone!

Thanks so much for your patience. We really appreciate your cooperation while we released the Fitbit for Android app version 2.77. It has been fully released to everyone, so please go to the Google Play Store and download it as soon as you can!

Many of you that already updated have confirmed you see your real-time heart rate back in the Fitbit app and that your steps/calories are updating. I will leave this thread open in case anyone has any issues, but I hope you are all set after updating. Thanks for all your help!

Fitbit Update: 8/21/18

Hi, Everybody!

Today, we started releasing the Fitbit for Android app version 2.77. Please check the Google Play store on your phone to see if the update is available to you. We roll out Android updates progressively, so if you don't see it available to you right now it will be there soon.

Fitbit Update 8/16/18:

Hi everyone - The fix for this issue will be out in our next app release which you can expect within the next 2 weeks.

We will provide an update in this thread once it has been released. Thanks again for all your patience and cooperation.

Fitbit Update 8/9/18: Hi everyone. Thanks for taking the time to report this issue here on the Android forum. I've passed your reports along to our engineering team so they can begin investigating. From what I've gathered, this issue is app specific and not affecting the Fitbit web dashboard (which is correctly showing all activity data as expected). To keep thing organized, I've merged several threads to this one.

I appreciate your patience and am sorry for any inconvenience this has caused. In the meantime, I welcome you to continue sharing your experiences here. In the meantime, you can view your current stats on the Fitbit web dashboard by logging into your account at fitbit.com

When I hear something new, I'll be sure to update the thread with the latest info. Robot Happy

Why would you tell me to do a bunch of steps if it doesn't actually help? Makes no sense at all. Errr, ummm, thanks?

Your post from today confused me. Did you get it to work? I did clear the cache and it did nothing.

I have a Google Pixel 2. Needless to say, unless you have the most popular, highest priced, big business phone, the update hasn't been created..... Yet

I have the newest Samsung Galaxy (the S9) - the update for this isn't out yet...so I have no clue how the update chooses who gets what first.

I tried clearing the cache for the Google Play store and reinstalling it, but still got the old version. How is it some people can get the new version and others can't?

I have a Pixel 2 and have issues ever since the Pie update. This includes Google Assistant issues also. I found a fix for the assistant and now the Fitbit app works just like it did! Go to Apps->Google->3 dots at in the top right-> uninstall updates. Then Storage->Clear cashe. Then restart your phone. Have to set your Assistant up again, but it wasn't bad because it retains all your info. Hope this helps someone else!

Charge 2 unable to sync since last Sunday. My sisters Atlas is having the same issue. We both have Android devices.

I also have no information on my online dashboard since last Sunday.

I'm running an older version than what you mentioned and in the Play Store there is no updates available.

I hope this info helps. Thanks for all your hard work.

I did. I also had to uninstall the Google app updates as well.

@Keytan please try what @jmauk suggested.

As for no data on your dashboard, you already told us why. If the tracker hasn't sent it's data to Fitbit, then the data is still on the tracker.

So once again the Fitbit developers provide a software update (did it introduce anything that was new and needed by the Fitbit community?) they obviously don't test and it screws up the main feature counting steps........Doh!

Then we have to wait weeks for it to be fixed, seriously!

Always the best detailed report they offer "We fixed some bugs and made stability improvements."

Not only do i not have any live HR but the numbers showing on my Fitbit are then not showing up as the same numbers in the tile. As I have issues with my heart rate accuracy is important to me. The fitbit will show my heart rate as 116 but then record it at 107 - this needs sorting asp please.

2.77 is now working on my Google pixel 2 xl on Android 8.1.   I can see live heartrate in the tile from my AltaHR again.

I will upgrade to Android 9 soon and check that as well.

My heart rate monitor shows two little lines. Looks like this "--" on my Fitbit ionic. Does anyone know if that a defective watch or needs the new update. I've tried everything. Is anyone else having this problem or just on your phones app?

Fyi I still dont see version 2.77 on my google play store. I'm using a samsumg galaxy s8+. So freaking annoying

Since the new update isn't fixing anything, I want to remind you guys, that you don't need to stick with the current version:

It's not available to Canadians yet.

At least, no updates for my Samsung S9+

Posted a comment in the Play Store and it said I was commenting on an older version (2.76.1).

Umm, that's the current version in Canada.

This is turning into a real goat rope.
