Isn't this great... the app only works for some of your products. What a great way to get people to have to continuously purchase your updated and more expensive products (is your parent company a cell phone company?) to get what all of your products should have had the capacity to upgrade to in the first place. Welp this will be my last fit bit...hello eBay... brand new and usless. I bike everyday.

Im not sure what your saying @Kemsonjkat, the only Fitbit device the curren apps don't work with are the Ultra, this device was discontinued 6 or so years ago. It does not have a Bluetooth radio in it.

I ride a bike... I have walk, run and hike as exercise options. I don't need to know how many steps I take I want distance and time and calories...on a bike

Sorry @Kemsonjkatt smarttrack doesnt give distance.  Using the multisport mode will, for bike you will either need to use gps on the Suge or the connected GPS with the phone on the Blaze and Charge 2.

BTW Smartrack doesnt have anything to do with the app, and will work without having a phone at all.

And so this takes me back to my original point ... the gift was an Alta, so
buy another more expensive one.
Now should understand?

Àre you able to sync your tracker? If so the app is working with your Alta HR.

Auto detect works the same for all trackers, but has nothing to do with the app
