Remove in-app persistent banners

Is there any way to remove the persistent banners inside the app? I'm specifically talking about...

  • "See How Fit You Are" inside Heart Rate
  • "Try hitting 10,000 steps per day..." inside Steps

I've seen these things and don't really need to see them every day forever. My proposed fixes:

  • Hide "See How Fit You Are" once the user has gone through the white info screens (much like we do the first time you open Sleep tracking), as you can access the Cardio Fitness information from swiping through the graphed data above.
  • The prompt inside Steps should be hidden either after the user enters their step goal or after the user has tapped into the Steps screen a certain number of times (3 seems sufficient, 10 could be fine too).

Have you made any progress towards removing the "See How Fit You Are" banner?  After reading it once, it's no longer needed and the user should be able to remove it.  It takes up screen space for no good reason.

Pleaaase remove in-app banners. Super annoying!

Have you tried doing a long press on them instead of a tap. I clears them from the version I am using which is a bit out of date as my phone is too old.

Ah, yeah, no luck. Was worthy trying though! Thanks!

Hello all, thank you for your participation in the forums and for sharing your feedback regarding the in-app banners.

I understand that this can be very frustrating and appreciate your suggestions. Our team is always working on improving our devices and user experiences, and your comments are always welcome.

You’ll see messages in the Fitbit app that give you personal insight into your health and wellness based on your Fitbit data. These messages may be about general wellness, activity, nutrition, mindfulness, sleep patterns, and more. Tap the X in the top right to dismiss a message. Provide feedback on a message by tapping the thumbs up icon or the thumbs down icon.

While there is no option to remove this feature at the moment, feel free to post your idea in our Feature Suggestions board. That way other users can comment and vote on the idea to show their support. You can read the FAQ to better understand how that board works. You can do a search first, in case someone else has already suggested your idea, or something similar.

If you have any questions, feel free to let me know.

@LiliyaFitbit, I appreciate your response about the large banner that appears that does have the ability to be dismissed.

However I got the impression that one of the people was referring to the smaller banners that are in each section when you first load the app.

They show no X to press to dismiss them. I have always managed to by pressing as opposed to tapping them. This person said this didn't work for her. Can you help, do you know another way?

It is shocking how few improvements fitbit has made to their app/product in the 5 years since I owned one. Rather than responding to users requests for simple quality of life features that should have been automatically implemented from day one, you give us a company line about forwarding this feedback to the development team which will in turn... do nothing.

At least could this tips be relevant to either me or the Fitbit community. If I want to read that nuts are good based off pseudoscience then I d pick up a banal fitness magazine.
