My heart resting rate has been in the 50s everytine I wear the fitbit at night. At Christmas it started at 61 and is now down to 54. Is this a concern? I'm 60, fairly slim, and not that fit. I do walk daily between 20-30 minutes. Not much else, occasional 5 minutes on bike. Some yoga. I eat very healthily, no sat fats, good fibre. Generally under 1400 calories a day. I take statins and aspirin but don't have angina. Also take thyroxine omeprazole and Vitamin D. Would any of my medications lower heart rate? It is usually between 60-100 at rest during the day but can also go below 60 sometimes.
My oxygen levels are usually green but occasionally have blips of orange. Blood pressure is usually normal.
Don't want to visit GP if it's just getting used to a smartwatch. Just wondering. It's putting me off using the watch.

Could your fitness be improving. What has your overall RHR like?

Hi thanks for responding.
I'm new to all this so not sure if I'm tracking it properly. I notice during the day that it's between 60s, 70s, and is currently 62. It can go into the 50s in the evening and was 52 at waking this morning.
They keep telling me my cardio fitness is 38-42 estimate which is excellent for a woman of my age.
I agree I may be getting fitter but I thought that would take quite a bit of time as I can only walk for short time and it is usually slow due to pain. But maybe 20-30 minutes a day is enough. It keeps telling me I'm moderately active on the app with an average bpm of 100. I don't go into cardio that much according to the app. I've been walking daily for a year now.
Hope that's answered your question

Currently people have reported a problem with the heart rate on the Versa 3 and Sense.
@BonesWoo there is a little info on heart rate here
If you want to check, it is easy, using the old school method. to determine your current heart rate. This is the way nurses still do it.
The RHR number is determined when the body is at rest, plus how fast the body recovers after being worked.
