I have just purchased a Fitbit Alta HR only to find out it is not compatible with my Samsung A5 2017. Did a lot of research on the product but somehow missed that. Does anyone know if or when this device will become compatible? Or is it better to find another Fitbit? I appreciate any insight.
Thank you.

Hello @Tammydawne, welcome aboard to the Fitbit Community! I was reading your post and I'm wondering if you tried to set up your tracker despite your phone is not compatible? I have too a phone that is not compatible and so far I haven't any issue to use my tracker.
With non-compatible devices the difference is we are not able to guarantee the behavior of the mobile device in relation to the features of the Fitbit app or the Fitbit tracker. Many android devices nowadays has all the hardware requirements to be compatible, so I recommend giving the setup flow a try. If that does not work, I suggest setting up and syncing via a device listed as supported or using a computer.
At the moment I don't have a estimated timeframe of when a device is going to be compatible since we do not have this information as moderators. Our team is always working to test and add more Android devices to the supported devices list, so keep an eye open for updates!
See you around and hope this helps.
