Hi,

Does anyone know if the Samsung Galaxy J6 plus is compatible with fitbit, or if not, when/if it might be..?

My J6 plus is android OS 9, and I believe 7 is the minimum, but not sure if the J6 plus is compatible..

Don't want to spend money for one to arrive and have ending syncing issues.

Hi @BenRya05, welcome to the Community Forums! Sorry for the delay in responding your post.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for the details that were shared. Let me share with you that we are constantly working and testing different mobile devices to make sure that they work as intended with our products and services. As it turns out, at this moment I'm unable to let you know when or if the Samsung Galaxy J6+ will be added to our list of compatible devices, however, my best advice for you will be to constantly check our list of compatible devices for any update. 

This doesn't mean that such mobile device will not work at all with a Fitbit device, however, we cannot ensure that all the device's and Fitbit app features will work as intended.

Let me share with you that the Samsung Galaxy J6+ is not listed as a compatible device with our products and services. However, the Fitbit app is compatible with most popular phones and tablets. To set up and use your Fitbit products and services, you must install the Fitbit app on a compatible device running one of the following operating systems:

  • Apple iOS 12.2 or higher
  • Android OS 7.0 or higher 
  • See additional tips for Android phones and tablets.

See these guidelines for more information about setting up Fitbit products and services.
