Samsung Galaxy S20+ compatibility

Hi there,

I have just purchased a galaxy 20+ today and now find my charge 3 is not compatible.  Does anyone know when it will become compatible?  Is it worth still using my fitbit whilst its not compatible as it wont be able to log anything on the app on my phone?

Thanks

Hi @edduk1981, welcome to the Community Forums!

Thanks for your post. Let me share with you that we are constantly working and testing different mobile devices to make sure that they work as intended with our products and services. As it turns out, at this moment I'm unable to let you know when or if the Samsung Galaxy S20+ will be added to our list of compatible devices, however, my best advice for you will be to constantly check our list of compatible devices for any update.

On the other hand, are you experiencing an issue with your phone and your Charge 3? If you're experiencing syncing difficulties, you can try the troubleshooting steps from our help article: Why won't my Fitbit device sync?

Let me know if you have any additional questions, I'll be around.

I have an Ionic and a S20+ and have the same issue. Its annoying that every iPhone seems to be supported with no issues but since swapping to a Samsung its now not staying connected.

Fitbit really needs to pull their finger out and get phone other to iPhone supported.

My Galaxy S20 is phenomenal.  I will replace the tracker before I replace this phone.  I cannot believe that Fitbit did not get their act together and make them compatible.  Not everyone supports iphone.

My phone synced today!  I ended up reloading the fitbit app and voila.

Hopefully, all the features work.  Alice

That is NOT an answer!

The S20 line has been out for a while now and there should be NO reason why it's not officially supported.

It is very frustrating not being able to use a phone rebased in 2020 with the Fitbit app. There are more phones coming out this year for Samsung alone which is going to create more users unable to use their Fitbit.

It's 2021 and Samsung s20 is still not compatible. This is absolutely ridiculous. I love fit bit and have used it for a couple of years. I finally update from an iconic to a sense but it will not stay synced to my phone. Even though I didn't have an issue with the iconic. Customer service just says sorry your phone is not compatible try another phone. Like I have more than one phone! I'm so upset.

It's 2021.  When are we going to get an answer from you.

I'm betting that the new S21 won't be supported too. What a joke!

There is no list of compatible devices in the link! Is Fitbit able to provide a list at all?

Best Answer

There used to be, now it's Android 7.0 and up. This makes more sense.

Not really. Fitbit does not support Samsung S20 and my Fitbit watch refuses to connect to the Windows 10 app - have tried bluetooth and cable - which makes my watch more or less useless. So from my point of view Android 7.0 and up is not supported and Fitbit/Google does not care.

RicardoFitbit's "Best answer" (ha-ha-ha) telling us "to constantly check our list of compatible devices for any update" is just a load of standard BS. There is no such list, RicardoFitbit!
