How come fitbit will not pair with my Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus to enable Mobile notifications? The reason I purchased this was for that reason other than tracking my daily steps, etc. ?

I just bought the Alta and it won't do text updates either. I don't know what to do.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @Shaunice @Laura819! I hope you're doing great!

Let me help you out, try the following troubleshooting steps in order to get it fixed:

  1. Restart your tracker and make sure to follow the instructions that @CindyFitbit shared.
  2. Turn off notifications:
    1. On the Fitbit app dashboard, tap your tracker.
    2. On the device screen, tap your tracker.
    3. Tap Allow notifications access and turn off access to the Fitbit Notification Service.
  3. Reboot your mobile device.
  4. In the Fitbit app, tap Allow notifications access and allow access to the Fitbit Notification Service.
  5. Turn on call, text, or calendar notifications.

If you're still not receiving notifications, set up notifications again:

  1. Disconnect ("unpair") your tracker in your mobile device's Bluetooth settings. The instructions differ by device, but in most cases:
    1. Tap Settings > Bluetooth and find your tracker in the list of paired devices.
    2. Tap Forget or Forget Device to unpair your tracker.
  2. Reboot your mobile device.
  3. In the Fitbit app, tap Allow notifications access and allow access to the Fitbit Notification Service.
  4. Turn on call, text, or calendar notifications.
  5. If notifications still don't work, contact Customer Support.

Let me know how it goes!
