There is not even an option on the Fitbit app in the settings to enable text notifications for my new Alta hr and my Samsung Galaxy s8+ phone. How do get texts on my Alta HR? I even tried to go the settings on my phone and that didn't work. Fitbit website says it can definitely do this with the S8 but I'm not seeing how to do this when the option doesn't even come up on the Fitbit app.

You need to give permission for your phone to do this as well as giving the app permission. The directions should help you get started.

It doesn't work. In the Fitbit app when I go to settings and then notifications, there is no option for text.

 

All other permissions are fully enabled on my phone.

Yes. Once you go to settings...hit Alta hr under devices...then you should see notifications under the General section.
