How soon do you expect the Ionic to be compatible with the new Samsung Galaxy S9/S9+?

Actually there are a couple of workarounds that have been posted here and on other boards. Install Fit Notifications third party app and/or revert back to Fitbit app v. 2.71 (via another third party). Reverting back to Fitbit ver 2.71 really took care of it for me as my Versa was working great until they updated the Fitibit app sometime around the first or second week of June. As added insurance I also run the Fit Notifications app too. Now I get every notification (text, e-mails, calls) on my Versa from my Galaxy S9. I will not be updating the Fitbit app on my Galaxy S9 again until I know it will work correctly. This means I had to turn off auto updating of apps on the phone after I reverted to v. 2.71 but I'm willing to live with that....for now.

It's a shame that we have to try all of these steps in or order to get it to work. I also realize this phone is not on the compatible list. I have the Blaze, which is no longer supported.
I'm just not willing to go through all of this again and be again. Some of the solutions offered by members, not Fitbit staff, worked for a short time.
It's very frustrating.

Totally agree that we should not have to spend hours figuring out how to work around issues created, what seems like, every time there's an update to the Fitbit app. I don't get it either.

This needs to be put back to unsolved and the S9 needs testing so it is a supported device. It's been almost 5 months since the phone was released and you have done nothing. Does fitbit just not care about it's customers?

Fitbit apparently forgot that it is far less popular/successful than Samsung. Most of us will replace our Fitbit products with other brands instead of replacing our Samsung S9 smartphones with other brands/models that work with Fitbit. So .... since Fitbit products apparently are designed to be useful only for a short time, let's use this forum to share advice on other, better brands of fitness trackers/smartwatches that work with the Samsung S9. It is time to go shopping, and NOT for another Fitbit.

Ok, then, if the Blaze won't sync with the Samsung S9, can I get a refund on the Fitbit?

Hey everyone!
There hasn't been any updates at this moment, but I'll be sure to keep my eyes open and let you know the moment we get something.
Please keep in mind that some users with phones not on the list have mentioned that following through these troubleshooting steps helps them get their Fitbits to sync and work correctly.
Let me know if there is anything else I can help out with.

I was looking at upgrading my Fit Bit (would have been my 3rd), but I will be looking elsewhere due to the fact that it is not compatible with my S9+.

Can you now make my S9 connect to my car and have the Fitbit app running at the same time? Ridiculous. Fitbit app is off my phone until this issue is proven resolved.

We are all experiencing the same frustration. Blaze will not provide notifications to Samsung S9.
After scouring the web I came across a third party app called Fit Notifications. I've uploaded to my S9, followed the directions (I'm challenged with directions) and it works great!
Of course I've only been using it for a day, but since the Blaze is being discontinued and I got mine for a wicked good deal I'll keep up with the 3rd party, Fit Notifications app.
Hope this helps you too.
Good luck!

Thanks! Will try this. Sad that Fitbit can't support their own devices, but someone else can. 😞
