Samsung S8+ text messages

I tried searching the previous posts and could not find exactly what I was looking for.

I am going to upgrade my phone in a few months.  While I would like to go with LG G6, I don't see that becoming compatible anytime soon since the G5 isn't on there yet.  I am looking at the Samsung S8+.  Will my text messages actually appear so that I can read them?  Right now, with my incompatible LG G5, I just get a notification that says I received a text, but not the actual text.  I can read Facebook messanger posts.  I want to be able to read my texts on my watch, too.  It's this possible with the Samsung S8+?

Hi

Text messages appear on the tracker itself, depending on which tracker you have. Otherwise getting a notification instead like the Flex 2 isn't able to display the message on the tracker instead it gives a notification there's a new message on your phone.

The Galaxy S8+ is displayed on the compatibility page.

That's what I wanted to double-check.  Thank you.  My current phone that I have had for a while, LG G5, is not on the compatibility list and only shows that I have a new message, not the content of the new message.  I have a Blaze.  I didn't realize I omitted that information in my original post.  When looking at new phones, I was cross-checking the compatibility list.  Out of the phones on the list the Samsung S8+ seems like it is the oneI would like the most.  I prefer LG, but that list appears to not have been updated in a few years.  The LG G5 came out almost 2 years ago and it isn't on there so I doubt the LG G6 will make an appearance on the list in the next 6 months (or 2 years).

Honestly, everyone is having issues connecting their fitbits to the Samsung S8 or S8+. Some people say it works while most are not able to receive any notifications (mine included). It is on the list of compatible devices, but it is not compatible at all. Just warning you that there is a very good chance you will not be able to receive any type of notification if you get the Samsung S8 or S8+.

I wonder if it makes a difference with who you have for phone service.  I am not sure why it should matter, just a thought I had.  I have Verizon.
