Says "Pair" when paired & won't sync

Just downloaded the Fitbit App to my laptop (since my PC one stopped syncing ("trouble connecting to fitbit.com")). I keep getting the message "need to pair & link to sync properly". Get to the "Pair & link" screen. Message "bluetooth is pairing" followed by "bluetooth is taking a long time" followed by "Error. Try again". My device is paired/linked when I look at details, but does not sync. I found the details--"Last synced 29 days ago" but clicking the button will not sync it. The closest I get to syncing is that "need to pair & link" message. Help! I have transferred from "Fitbit acct" to "Google acct".

I appreciate your message, and I'm sorry to hear that your Fitbit device is not syncing. 

In order to use the Fitbit app, you have to use a compatible phone or tablet. To make sure you can use the Fitbit app on your phone or tablet, check Fitbit-compatible devices.

Download and install the Fitbit app from one of the following locations:
