Sense not syncing or getting notifications

I've been a Fitbit user since 2013 and this is the 1st time I've been truly frustrated. I recently purchased a Sense, it will not remained connected to my Samsung Galaxy. When it does, I've received two calls to it but could not answer them, have not received any text or email notifications. I've ensured the that the software is updated. I removed and re-added Fitbit and re-synced bluetooth... nothing. Looking at sending it back. Any suggestions?

@Pilotdj Welcome to the Fitbit Community. Thanks for the troubleshooting performed prior to posting. 

I see where your frustration is coming from. I'd like you to ensure this syncing troubleshooting was performed. If you did then let me know the phone model, OS installed and if you're getting any error message when trying to sync. 

Can you confirm this procedure was followed to set your notifications?

Thank you for the reply. I prior to my initial post, I attempted the enclosed troubleshooting multiple times with no luck. I even removed the Fitbit app from both of the devices I attempted to sync to. I FINALLY was able to get my Sense to sync and remain synced after completing a factory reset on the watch twice. It shouldn't have had to come to this but I finally have a working Sense.
