I am trying to hook up a new fitbit charge 2 to my samsung galaxy note 20. I have deleted all previous fitbits which showed on my phone and updated the ap (ap would never update with old charge 2.)

I'm trying to get it to connect with my phone and it won't do so. The acutal fitbit watch says

Instructions:
1. wake up your fitbit by pushing button on side or plugging in.
2.Go back to the app on your phone, tap your profile picture to access your account settings, and tap “Set Up a Device.
3.What are you setting up? Charge 2
4.set up. Agree to policies and procedures.
5.Power on - Searching  We found your tracker.
6.Pairing Code I enter in the code from my fitbit. It says pairing code.

The result on my phone is always:
Not working?
Here are the 3 things it says try.
1.Make sure your charger is charged and turned on. (It is.)
2.Move other trackers away (none around.)
3.Turn Off Bluetooth on your mobile device, then turn it on again.
I have done all 3 steps and it doesn't work. I have moved to a different room and it doesn't work.

Level 1 tech support has done these same 3 steps to solve the problem with me 3 times.

@JohnnyRow Thanks for your input! @Terrysmith1102 Welcome to the forums. Thanks for your post about setting up your Charge 2 with the Samsung Note 20.

Thanks for the explanation. Did you just get a brand new Charge 2? Have you tried the steps on the following article: Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?. In this case I recommend staying in contact with support.  Support may have exhausted all troubleshooting steps and that is why they proceeded with the warranty check. I understand you are not looking for a compensation.

I would try a different smartphone to try and pair the device with your account. Once the device is set up with your account, you can then go back to your Samsung Note 20 and open the app. The Charge 2 will be shown as connected. Then turn on the Bluetooth on your smartphone, the Charge 2 should sync automatically.

Move any other bluetooth devices as far away as possible.  Try again.  It often takes a few tries, or several.

I note this seems to have just changed from the Samsung Galaxy 20 to the Note 20.

However I believe that is still a different phone from the S20 referenced above by @RodrigoMFitbit. But maybe that doesn't really affect the issue.
