Since Updating my Samsung S5 my Fitbit Surge won't sync

Not sure what to do at this point.  I have been through all trouble shooting and still my surge won't sync with my S5 since the most recent S5 update.  I have not uninstalled and reinstall the Fitbit app.  I am unsure whether I will lose data and do not want to.  Any suggestions?

Thanks for all the steps that you've tried! I you already tried these basic troubleshooting steps, then the issue it might be with the update directly: Android users unable to sync after Samsung Update. You can subscribe or post there so you can get the responses from our users and Fitbit moderators, since we're currently investigating the root cause of this.

Thanks for the warm welcome. It looks like many people are having the same
problem for a couple weeks now. Has anyone found a solutuon? I have tried
all of the trouble shooting suggestions and nothing is working. At this
point my Fitbit Surge is just serving as a retro 80's looking watch.

I couldn't avoid laughing to your 80's reference, you're very funny.  But unfortunately you're right, a lot of Samsung users reported this issue and our team is still working on that. As you can see in that thread our specialist will be updating the information so you can subscribe to the thread by clicking on the gear icon in the right corner of the topic.
