Since yesterday app not updating.

Starting yesterday my android app stopped displaying results of my exercises, any foods, just get a continual whirling display. First page is okay but not the sub menus apart from sleep. I've restarted, deleted removed data and cache and readded a few times still the same. The data is there if I access my account via a browser so it is defo the app at fault. Since readding I no longer have the option to add WhatsApp / SMS etc.

Count me in.....overnight O2, Heart Rate, to name a couple of things .   Not even 2 months old yet

 

Most annoyed as Doctor said to get it

Our team has just released a new version of the Fitbit app for Android devices 3.46. For instructions on how to check your current version and update, please visit this article and open the menu "How do I update the Fitbit app?".

 

Whether you have the latest version but continue having difficulties, please log out from the Fitbit app, reboot your phone and log back in.

 

You should be able to continue receiving WhatsApp notifications. To resolve difficulties with notifications, please follow these troubleshooting steps.

The app has/had updated I think that was the issue. Ergo your release testing could do with being more thorough in this case. In the end after deleting and readding a further couple times deleting the cache and data and restarting the mobile again each time finally I have regained function.

Well that didn't last long. Came back from my hike today and the app is lost all the data again. Went through the whole delete cache, data, uninstall reboot install again cycle a few times. Starts working then a few hours later screwy again. Whatever the app update was it has totally borked it. The data is there via the web on a pc so it is 100% a fubar in the ap.


And this still keeps happening, really it is total and utter rubbish. Walk today the map is on the web but the map on the mobile is just spinning, same now for my food. Added dinner, updated on web, total calories updated in the app but not the detail


In case it might help someone else the only way to recover for sure is
1. Delete app date
2. Uninstall app
3. Reboot mobile into recovery
4. Wipe the cache
5. Restart mobile
6. Reinstall
This is the only app that gives this level of issues.
