In the new Dashboard, when I navigate to my previous days, the Sleep Tracker (Hour Activity too) tile is stuck at today data. However, when I click for more details, it still shows the correct data for that day. It doesnt happen with the old dashboard in Android and Web version. but happens with Fitbit app in Windows 10

HI there @TeacupX, good to see you around. Note that this is the way it works the new Fitbit Dashboard on Android.

This change was made initially with iOS and now was rolled to the Android platform. As you mentioned before, the change of date will only affect the main tile. Secondary stats like sleep or water log will be require to enter individually to each tile to see more details for previous dates.

If you have additional questions let me know. I'll be around.

The question is why. We can see that it has changed, what is missing is an answer. Is this supposed to be this way? If it is then it is a poor idea.

What a horrible user experience.  Why would you go from a helpful dashboard to a useless one?   There's absolutely no reason to toggle through each say  if the only one tile changes.

Thanks. I would also like to add that I like to look at a day's level of
activity in comparison to how much sleep I got the night before. I used to
be able to simply look at the dashboard. Now I have to look at the dash
for everything BUT sleep. It just doesn't make any sense.

Why is this marked as solved?  4 months after it was posted it is still occurring. To me that isn't solved.  Will secondary tiles ever be fixed in the new app to refresh?

Yes, still waiting for a fix for this brain dead action!

Well I don't really care if it is a bug or a feature, it just makes no sense to me. But then considering the quality of the device I bought why would I expect the software to be any better. A fitness tracker that you aren't supposed to wear if you might be sweating heavily??? I am currently using the replacement they sent me when the first one came apart because I wore it while working hard in the heat. When this one falls apart like I know it will I will look for something better, and it will have a different name on it.

As long as I never have to use the new dashboard, that is fine.

Count me as another vote for "this change makes no sense".  Why on earth would a user want to scroll back to previous days but still see some stats like water and sleep stuck on the current day?  I question the interpretation of user feedback that led to that change. The whole point of scrolling back is to see the whole picture for that day, not have some stats stuck on the current day.  I much prefer the format of the new dashboard, but I'll likely cling to the old one as long as possible to avoid that nonsensical "fix".

I second all the previous opinions regarding this issue. It's totally useless to me if the new dashboard doesn't update e.g. the sleep tile. The look is great but user experience really bad.

I don't check the app on a daily basis and when I check it I want to be able to swiftly check my sleep a couple of days back by just swiping like on the old layout. I will never switch to the new one unless this is updated.

The explanation that it is from user feedback cannot be true. No one would want it like that. I'm pretty sure it has related to performance issues with the new layout. Takes too long to retrieve the data so you've disabled it? If so, let us know and when it might been resolved.

Best Answer

Nothing wrong with the new dashboard, when you press the back arrow to show previous days it updates the top section only.

The bottom section showing Exercise Goals, Sleep , Heart rate, Weight Loss etc remains static to show your current day.

If you need to see previous days sleep click on the sleep tile to enter detailed view.

Well one thing it has fixed for me: I no longer have any urge to purchase further fitbit products.

Wow really? So glad you explained that.

Or you could just have read the other posts and re-read mine. To me, and many others, it's utterly useless when all tiles doesn't update.

I also did not like this change. Not sure my "vote" will be noted, but it's worth trying.

This is the craziest thing I have ever heard of.  I bought Fitbit to get sn overview of my day..each day..not so I can put the right info in myself. I will be looking for something that better suits my needs.  Thanks Fitbit fir tge most useless update ever.

Hi everyone and welcome to the Fitbit Community @MimiBPP and @crazypeachs. I have been reading your posts and I understand the way it works the Fitbit app doesn't fit the way you want it works.

This update was apply to all mobile platforms. However as I mentioned before your feedback it is important to us, so I recommend to take a look to the following suggestion: Ability to see previous days with all tiles on iOS app. You can vote and comment for this. It's a great way to let us know what you'd like to see in the future!

With Android you can switch back to the old Dashboard to have available previous data for all the tiles. The way to change can be found in Account in the right upper corner > Advanced Settings > Switch to Old Dashboard. Although keep in mind the new Dashboard will become permanent as it happened with iOS.

Catch ya later and thank you again for all your comments.
