Sleep score not showing for 3 hours or less sleep

Right, having already expressed my feelings about this futile change I have a serious question as to the validity of the sleep score average shown where we used to get average hours.

Why is no score given when there is no sleep or under 3 hours sleep. As there is no score given for these events the averages are only for scored days.

Therefore the average over a week may in my case only include four or five days measurements and is therefore meaningless as an average.

Fitbit surely have enough accumulated data to realise that not everyone lives the 9-5 life. I await your answer.

Hi @Lilbiddy. I'm glad to see you here again.

Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback about the Fitbit app, and let me help you with your inquiry. As you may know the sleep scores will be generated based on your sleep stages. If your sleep was of 3 or less hours, the sleep stages will not be recorded as there isn't enough heart rate information, therefore the sleep score will not appear on the Fitbit app. I understand how this affects the way your information is reflected and I'm sorry for this inconvenience. Our team will keep working on the Fitbit app and overall environment and your comments will help us to achieve that.

Don't hesitate to let me know if you have another question.

I was sick last week and slept 15 hours one day, and still had a sleep score of zero.

That explains a lot. I have an Inspire. It doesn't record the heartrate. That being the case, why was it included in the update? It will never record a sleep score. That should have been a no-brainer to the developers.
