Start Time when trying to manually log an exercise on app is 30 minutes behind actual time

I'm having problems with the Fitbit Android App.

If I go to manually log an activity (eg walk, bike, swim, workout) the displayed start time is 30 minutes behind the actual time. For example, it's currently 20:11 GMT. the start time on the "Log Exercise" screen on the app (on my Android phone) shows 19:41. If I try to change the time to the correct time I get a message that says "You can't log an exercise for a future time". I used to be able to log a correct time (i.e. a time within the past 30 minutes) at one time though can't remember when I last did so.

I've tried all sorts of troubleshooting including deleting the app, turning bluetooth off then on, restarting my Fitbit Inspire 2 (which shows the correct time) and other suggestions for how to properly sync tracker to phone app. Nothing works.

It's not a wrong setting on my phone app - my old phone still has the Fitbit app installed on it and it too is showing a time 30 minutes ago so it seems to be something connected with the software. Is it a known bug? The time settings on both my phones are correct too.

Has anyone got any ideas? I'm having to wait 30 minutes after e.g. doing a 10 or 20 minute walk just to be able to enter the details.

If I log the exercise via the Fitbit Inspire 2, everything syncs fine and the correct time displays.

I'm now wondering if the 30 minutes thing is deliberate. The default entry for the Duration of the activity is 30 minutes. Presumably this is linked to the Start time of the exercise. The only thing is, if it is deliberate, if the duration of the exercise is less than 30 minutes and the user wants to log the activity immediately after completing it, the person will have to wait to log it until 30 minutes after the time the exercise started has elapsed.

I'm sure at one time it was possible to log the activity immediately but perhaps it wasn't.
