Starting a walk or run on the Google Pixel Watch 3

Hi all,

Apologies if I am being a bit thick, but when I start a walk or a run after my Pixel Watch 3 picks up GPS, I see the countdown and the watch vibrates three times.

Once the countdown and the vibrations complete the activity should start, but mine doesn't actually start until a maximum of 2 seconds afterwards. 

Now, if I was in a race I could potentially lose 2 seconds from the activity. Granted it's not massive but you would have thought that once the countdown is complete, off you go.

Any ideas as to why this is happening?
