Step count and sleep log is short

I've just had my alta for a week. I have a Samsung....

My steps are way too low and the sleep is messed up. Only recorded that I slept 3 hours and I slept all night.  Also saying I had no REM, for the last 2 nights.

@Dorilucas415 Hey, there! Smiley Happy Nice to see you around the Community forums.

So cool to hear you are a new Alta HR owner! I moved your post to its own topic since you are experiencing something different than what was reported in the other thread. This helps keep conversations on-topic and organized.

To troubleshoot the steps and sleep issue you're experiencing, I would first recommend that you make sure you are wearing the tracker nice and snug. The heart rate sensor needs to make direct contact with your wrist in order for you to receive accurate heart rate readings. Your tracker needs to be recording your heart rate consistently so that it can formulate your Sleep Stages. Take a moment to read more about Sleep Stages and how your tracker automatically tracks your different sleep cycles.

Another suggestion to improve your step accuracy is to switch the wrist you wear the tracker on. If you're currently wearing it in the non-dominant wrist, try the other or vice versa. Remember the tracker needs to detect motion and that is how steps are recorded. Read more about step accuracy and let me know if you still have questions!
