Hi,
I seem to be having a weird issue. I usually manually start my exercise and use the "walk" feature . I started an exercise today at 10.15 am for 6.5km... when I ended the exercise it said some 7770 steps .on the app when I click on exercise analysis it shows my impact as 77xx steps.
Now when I got to fitbit app and tracker..my step count on tracker and main screen shows 69xx steps. When I now clicked on exercise, it shows an auto recognized activity same time at 10.15 am called run..and it shows I ran 5.85km... the step count in Impact section is showing 69xx steps .I'm guessing auto recognition somehow overrode step count.?
How do I fix this? I did the following
1) log out login
2) restarted tracker

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for the details that were shared in your post, your effort troubleshooting this matter is appreciated. This seems to be affecting the Fitbit app and not the device because the information changes on the Fitbit app and not the device during the syncing process, therefore, can you please let me know which mobile device are you using? When was the first time you experienced this issue and how many times since then? Did you experienced this situation with other activities or just with Walk? In the meantime I receive your answers, please try the following steps and let me know if the issue persists:
- Force quit the Fitbit app.
- Uninstall the app from your mobile device.
- Make sure that the Android version is up to date.
- Reboot your mobile device.
- Reinstall the Fitbit app.
- Login using your account credentials.

Hi thanks so much for getting back ! Few of the steps you had mentioned before I had already tried..but I did them again. My Android is up to date and device is up to date. the device name is one plus 6t. It has become a daily occurrence.. 😞 now for some reason it shows I exercise..and when I resync..it resets my active minutes to 0. Also, when I posted it was only happening to app but now it's happening to tracker too .example I completed an exercise today .all the sync went well..both tracker and app showed me 1 exercise completed ..my daily calories goal of 2300 was met etc. After 30 mins when I synced again, it changed my active mins to 0 reduced my calories to 1700 and increased my distance by a km. Another parallel activity appeared somehow.. I've been manually deleting the parallel activity but i lose out on the distance 😞
I would say this started about 6 days ago?
Even my distance tracking seems off. Everytime it is simultaneously showing two exercises starting at same time with different distances and different calories :(. I changed my auto recognize activities to off and it is still detecting somehow..
I cannot help but think .is this a premium membership issue? I never had such issues before but I recently went premium and I can't find a pause premium option to test my hypothesis.
