Back in March, I had posted about the step count on my Pixel Watch being lower than the steps on my Fitbit app. Unfortunately this wasn't the first time this had happened, but I was told this issue was known and was a widespread Fitbit issue in April.
We're now almost into September and the step count on my Watch continue to randomly decrease and fall out-of-sync with the Fitbit app. Is there any update to this issue? Is anyone at Google actually working on this issue? Everything is fully updated.

Hello @xlevix10
I reported the step count discrepancy issue with Pixel Watches again earlier this month & was told that the issue was resolved.
However, like you, I still see step count discrepancy between my Pixel Watch 3 & the Fitbit app. On some days, it can get really crazy. My watch will show a lower number of steps than in the app. A few hours later, they are back in sync.
At the Made By Google event on 20 Aug 2025, they announced a big overhaul of the Fitbit app is coming. This article from 9to5 Google (<-- click) has a good summary of the upcoming changes. I hope that one of the fixes in the revamped app is step count syncing between device & app.
