Steps not updating in friends leaderboard

Please help. My steps are not updating in the Community "Friends" section, but they are updating on Sync screen.

Hello there @MzsStayce, nice to have new faces in the Fitbit Community! Thank you for bring this issue to my attention. I saw other user with a similar issue and my recommendation, if your steps are syncing correctly with your Dashboard but not with your friends leaderboard is to log out from your Fitbit app and go to your phone settings.

 

Access to the App manager option and look for the Fitbit app in your downloaded apps list. Once you are there, clear the app cache and data and proceed to "Force Stop" the app. Finish the workaround by restarting your phone. When your phone has initialized, go back to your app and try again.

 

Keep me posted how it goes.

I have a Fitbit Charge HR and all of a sudden it is syncing to the Dashboard but not to the community. I've logged out, forced a Stop in the App Store, restarted my phone - but it still isn't linking to the community leaderboard. What am I doing wrong TIA

Hi, I'm having same issue on Nokia phone with blaze. I have cleared creche etc and still not working. Only stopped updating today to community steps today. I've done update on app and uninstalled, reinstalled and still not updating. Any ideas?

After latest 2 updates syncs with Tracker got a bit smoother and sync with friends stopped working. Each update seems to break something new... Tried all the tricks that used to make it sync a month ago. Android: Stop Fit App, Force Stop FitBit App, Clear Cache, Restarting ... these were needed to sync with friends often (not always). Now after latest 2 updates installed.. Just will not Sync with Friends.  You would think with all the users and $$ that FitBit would STOP releasing garbage software for user debugging.. Why not ensure that the basic features work. One friend had the same problem with iOS, No Problem she just tossed her Charge2 Tracker, and bought an iWatch ... No More Probems with Apple!!!

I'm having the same issue! The app was updated yesterday for 'bug fixes' and since then it won't update on my friends ranking. I've tried uninstalling etc but it just won't budge.

I did all they said to but I think I also changed one fitbit setting to
constantly sync. It finally worked last night but I haven't checked today
yet to double check

I'm having a similar issue, but where my friends' steps aren't updating in the leaderboards. I have some friends that havent worn their fitbits in months, yet they still show up, and with the same numbers as they did months ago...
