I just bought a new charge 2 and I noticed it counts steps when I'm not walking just moving my arm. Example bouncing my baby. How are you supposed to get an accurate reading if it does that?

@MomOfFour2016 Congratulations on the new Charge 2!
Fitbit trackers use a 3-axis accelerometer to understand your motions. An accelerometer is a device that turns movement (acceleration) into digital measurements (data) when attached to the body. By analyzing acceleration data, our trackers provide detailed information about frequency, duration, intensity, and patterns of movement to determine your steps taken, distance traveled, calories burned, and sleep quality. Check this help article for more information on "how your tracker counts your steps."
For information about specific conditions see How accurate are Fitbit trackers? Hope this helps clarify any questions you may have.
