Thank you for sharing your suggestion in our Fitbit Community. Just keep in mind Fit Notifications is not officially supported by Fitbit since this is a third party app. So any privacy or functionality concerns is restricted to their end, furthermore we do not have further information of this app functionality.
Overall, I've seen many users have been using this app as a workaround while the Galaxy S9 still is being tested. If this is happening with a Galaxy S8, since this phone has bee declare compatible, it would not hurt to give it a try to this suggestions: My tracker isn't receiving notifications (Android Fitbit app).
