Surge won't connect to the Fitbit app on my Samsung S5 after last phone software update

Downloaded a new Android version 6.01 on my phone and now my Surge won't synch with the Fitbit app on the phone. I unpaired it and deleted the surge from Fitbit to start over. I am able to pair the Surge and the Fitbit app finds the Surge, but it won't connect. I assume it might be related to some setting or other, but can't figure it out. Tried restarting the phone, changed some settings, nothing so far works. Help! Thank you!

I am having a similar issue with the Blaze after upgrading.  Can't locate it to synch with Note 4.
