Sync issue

I am in the Northeast and some of you may be aware of the massive outages we have had over the last week. During that time I used fitbit with few issues. The first three days I was able to do everything via 4G. This worked fine as did the fitbit android app up to a point. At day 5 the cell towers were out of power and because there was no network service my charge 2 and phone were unable to sync. It might be useful to implement your app to allow the fitbit device and the android device to sync without the internet, at least on a temporary basis.

Unfortunately, @Alankro, there is no way currently to accomplish this - When you sync your tracker with either the phone app or the computer, you are actually syncing it to the Fitbit servers and not the local phone or computer. An Internet connection is required to connect to the Fitbit servers.

If you wanted to it could be managed. I have seen it done in multi-tiered corporate apps for more than a decade. You could say it is more complicated than it currently is but you can't say it can't be done.
