Let me help you get your Charge HR to sync correctly to your phone.

In this case I'd recommend that you try and follow all of the steps listed in this help article. They should definitely help in getting your Fitbit to sync properly once again.

Hello @Jan51.

Thanks for giving them a shot!

In that case, let's try to run the setup on your Fitbit as if it was a brand new device. You can click here to see the instructions in case you need them. Please try that and me know how it goes.

I have tried all of theses steps, and it still does not sync.  It is stuck on the "Connecting" screen after you enter the number from your device.

I gave up on the old one and got a new Charge 3. Will have to cancel the Fitbit app and reinstall as though I were installing  for the first time?

Welcome to the Forums @Jordan_Treewalk. Hello @Jan51.

@Jordan_Treewalk Thanks for going through all of those steps to get your Fitbit to sync.

It could be that the Fitbit and the phone bonded and now the connection has been corrupted in some way. My suggestion would be to try to go into the Bluetooth settings on your phone and remove the Fitbit from the paired devices list. Then run the set up process again and that should do trick.

@Jan51 Congratulations on your new Charge 3!

In your case, it is not needed to remove the app or delete your account. You can run the set up with your new Charge 3 as if nothing happened and it should work. I would recommend following the process I detailed above in this same post and remove any previous Fitbit devices you might've had and then run the set up.

I struggled to get my Charge HR to sync with my Galaxy S9+
I went to "Apps" - "Force Stop"ped the FitBit app, "Clear Data" - then opened the app again, logged in and my device was found, except this time I had a different prompt for location permission which I allowed, I got a message blurbing something abouut location security after Android 6 and now it syncs 😄

Perseverance guys - hope you get yours to work too

My fitbit charge 2 does not sync with S9+, I tried the steps outlined!

Looks like this is a known issue no resolution for 2+ months from fitbit support.

How can Firbit not support Samsung phones?

I will not be buying another fitbit again!

Hello @Ram1978.

Thanks for sharing that information and trying the steps that have been recommended through this thread.

I'd like to ask if you  are currently using Android 9 in your S9? If so, then it is related to an issue that our team is aware of. While we do not have any details on the matter at this time, we will be sure to let everyone know about it as soon as we receive anything.

Feel free to let me know if you have any further questions.

My S9+ will not reconnect after it has been away from my phone. Keeps giving me the "restart Bluetooth" screen. I've gone through every step in this reply, and nothing has worked. Is this problem related to the same issue?
