Sync problems with Fire HD 8

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My fitbit hasn't synced since Friday - I just get a message at the bottom of the screen saying 'tracker not found'. Very annoying as I did over 38000 steps yesterday! I use a Fire HD8.

If anyone can help with sync problems it would be appreciated

Welcome to the Forums @twe0212.

Thanks for sharing the message that you are getting.

This might be happening because the Fire HD 8 is not part of the supported devices list. This means that the app has not been fully optimized to work with that phone.

As long as it fulfills the minimum requirements, Android 4.4 and Bluetooth 4.0, there is a possibility that it can work but we cannot guarantee it. Some users of unsupported devices have mentioned that following these steps helps with the syncing.

If none of the above works, you could try to use a computer or another mobile device to try and sync your Fitbit to your account. Click here to get instructions on how to sync with other devices.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

It has been working fine for over a year so I can't see how this isn't a supported device.

It is only recently that syncing problems have occurred

Hello @twe0212.

I apologize for the delay in my response. Thanks for reaching back.

This device has never been a part of the supported devices list. What might have happened is that an update on the app or the Fire itself caused optimization issues which led to the syncing situation. Having said that, did you have the chance to try those steps.
