Syncing a 2nd fitbit

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I bought a second fitbit, to replace my old one, but I just sold the old one to a friend. When syncing the new one, is all my old data going to be deleted?

Is there any way I could give her the old fitbit before syncing the new one? Or do I have to wait to have both of them to avoid losing data.

Also, is there any way to reset the fitbit?

Thanks!!!!!

Hi, @Lizzid! The data stay with the account, not the tracker, so as long as you're keeping your same account, you'll have no problem.

The only overlap that might occur is if you wear your old tracker on the day you give it to your friend and she adds it to her new account the same day, she'll have your data for that day. She might want to wait until the next day to add it.

As far as resetting goes, there's no need to do anything, except for the day overlap I mentioned above. Just make sure you sync it one last time before you delete it from your account.
