Syncing takes a minute or more to complete.

I am using Fitbit version 2.68 on Android 6.0.1 on a Samsung S5.
When I sync the device, it can take over a minute to complete. The progress bar goes about 10% the distance and holds for 30 seconds. Then it will go to near the end, and then pause again for another 30 seconds.
I sync every morning and two or three times a day after, so there can't be that much data being transferred any one time.

Sometimes sync fails. Also, after syncing, some information, like calories burned compared to consumed won't update.
Overall, syncing is slow and unreliable.
Is this normal?

@Dave_M_GThat's the same as mine.. Much better than a few weeks ago. At least with the latest Apps my phone starts to sync as soon as I open the App.

I open the PC Dashboard and refresh that because I find the data is there before it hits the phone.  Because I have two Fitbits linked to my account it takes a little longer.
