Hi everyone,

I purchased a fitbit charge HR from a friend today thats never been used before. I was able to syn with my computer however not able to with my android phone. I have tried factory resetting the fitbit, restarting my phone, turning bluetooth off and on again but nothing is working. Everytime I hold down the button it just starts the timer. Can anyone help? 🙂

Have you checked that your phone is supported by fitbit at www.fitbit.com/devices ?

That would be why.. I Have an LG G6 which is probably why it isn't working 😞 Relatively new phone so hopefully they can make it compatible soon as I rarely use a computer...

@larisa29Try an older version of the app, the latest versions seem to be broken! I was extremely frustrated trying to get my new charge2 to work with the current 2.62.1 yesterday I was about to return it and even blamed my phone! I've had my charge with 2.19 working great for a very long time and I put that version back today and sync/notifications are working without any issues with my charge2, some functionality might not be there but I need my notifications the most! There might be newer versions of the app working well but I'm sticking to that one at least for now.

That devices page is utterly ridiculous, outdated and should be banned as any sort of solution. Even my 2+yr old Sony Xperia Z3+ Dual is not listed while I've been using the older version of the fitbit app with no issues since I got my phone. Not to mention that page doesn't even have any of the newer fitbit devices listed in the dropdown box for "tracker-specific features" when you choose a random device (I selected the Z3 Dual as it's closest to what I have).

P.S. If the Play store allows you to download the fitbit app, your phone should in theory be supported as the app has to meet the phone's OS/features/hardware requirements in order to allow it to be installed in the first place.

Fitbit has just updated the filmware of devices. They have updated Bluetooth to 5 & above, whereas majority of phones Bluetooth version is 4.2, rendering bands useless. Dont update the new version or else band will stop syncing. My charge hr is now useless, cant be used as a simple watch also, i factory reset the band, now I can't even sync proper time...waste of 150 dollars...scrap
