My main problem with syncing is that it does work BUT after I sync in the morning to see my sleep data it syncs successfully but it doesn't update immediately on the home dashboard to see how many hours I have slept (this also happens with heart rate data/graphs). If I click/select the sleep option on the app it will go to the sleep list and sit there for a second or two and then it will update the sleep data with the correct amount of hours and minutes slept, along with all of the other data. After I go back to the dashboard it then shows my correct sleep time (and heart rate) for that night and it also syncs again (I'd like syncing to be manual ONLY, its semi-manual now with 'All Day sync' turned off, as it always syncs when I open the app or view certain parts of the app).

Welcome to the Forums @SunsetRunner! Currently it takes about 30 minutes to get your sleep activity. This is because your tracker is processing all your information in order to be transferred to your Dashboard. I appreciate the time you took to provide us the information about your tracker and app version. Currently it was released a new firmware and Fitbit app version. I recommend making sure that you're running the latest versions.
Hope this helps!
