Text message issues with new phone

Had to get the wife a new phone. We were finally able to get her Versa 2 to sync, but now when she gets a text message and replies through her Versa 2 ( either a quick reply or voice reply ), it sends the reply but also sends her reply back to herself. The new phone is a Samsung A71 5G. Is this because the new phone hasn't been tested yet for compatibility? All other functions seem to be working fine, just having the issue with text replies. Please help, it is really annoying to get your own response texted back to you everytime.

This has always been my experience with the SG8.

I like it, since it confirms what I sent is correct and that the message was sent.
