I have an LG K20 Plus but never knew there was a "Supported device listing". All I saw on the box is that it was compatible with Android. I've had a smart watch before but it wasn't a fitbit it was an Android os smartwatch but decided to switch to Fitbit. The difference was that Android smartwatch os was able to connect to anything that was bluetooth enabled as long as if it had an android smartwatch os app. What is confusing to me is why can't fitbit do this or why can't they add some of the newer devices that have come out that are around 1-3 years old but add older 5+ year old phones. They have some older supported LG devices but not really any of the new ones. This is extremely frustrating! There are other competitors that can sync with most of every other bluetooth enabled device almost completely depending on the phone specification (if it is bluetooth enabled) and can use full features that were on the android smartwatch os. Why can't Fitbit do something like this? This is not a very good start for me nor a very good impression. Full features are not working for me due to my phone not being on the "Supported Device List"

Fitbits do work with many Android phones not on the list. They just have not all been thoroughly tested, given the huge number of models that keep coming out, often with variations by each phone service, so none are pure "Android" except perhaps Google phones. The only strict requirements are that it must be at least Android 4.4 and have Bluetooth LE. And there are many different degrees of "working"; some seem to do everything okay but have problems with notifications; some seem to have trouble getting through initial set-up, but then work fine if it can be set up on another device. I'm no expert, but I assume the more features that are added, the more likely to find problems with some phones.

Hi @JohnnyRow, the other problem with having a non-listed device is that it can be rendered inoperable at any time by an update. Then you will get no assistance because you are not using a listed device and be told to buy another phone or use another device.
