The "More" link in readiness score tile, does not give more info - Fitbit Android App

The "More" link in readiness score til,leads to Fitbit general help page. Searching "readiness score" does not provide more information either.

Not disagreeing with you, but here is an article from the Fitbit Blog that has more information.

The iOS app is doing the same thing.  The Learn More is supposed to take you to the Help article.  I will flag this as a bug for both apps.

@LZeeW while you're at it, the help article is inconsistent. How to see your readiness score, has different answers:

  • Second drop down:   Wear your device at least 14 hours per day for 4 days, including during sleep.
  • Third dropdown:        Wear your Fitbit device for at least a full day, including to sleep at night.
  • Seventh drop down:  You must wear your Fitbit device continuously for at least 4 days and nights

Let me clear the info on this article for you. What you just listed are actually requirements for the readiness score to be generated. How to see the score is actually explained on the third dropdown. Just tap on the tile for readiness score. 

 

But I do see your point. If one does not read the full article, one might have the impression that the Fitbit device must be worn for just a full day, including to sleep at night. What this actually means, is that in order to get the readiness score, after your baseline has been generated, you need to wear the device the whole day. However, the baseline must be generated beforehand. This is where the following statement comes into play "To receive your first daily readiness score, you must wear your Fitbit device continuously for at least 4 days and nights. To continue receiving a score, wear your device 4+ nights per week.".

 

First is in bold letters, because there lies the difference in the statements. In order to get the first daily readiness score, the baseline must be generated. How? Wear your Fitbit device continuously for at least 4 days and nights. After the baseline has been set, you just need to wear the Fitbit device for a full day, including to sleep at night, in order for the score to be generated.

 

Hope this has cleared things up. I will also report the fact that the "more" link does not lead to the desired help article for readiness score. Thanks again!

 @LZeeW  @JohnnyRow  , maybe you are clairvoyant @RodrigoMFitbit , I am not. The first dropdown states "How do I set up daily readiness score?" It is no way you can interpreter this other than "This is how to get your first score". It states: "Wear your device at least 14 hours per day for 4 days, including during sleep. Check the Daily Readiness tile in the Fitbit app to see the time remaining until your first score is available.

After this setup one should get the first score. It is unnecessary to wear it for additional 24 hours.

The seventh dropdown has more inconsistency: "If you already received your first score, make sure you wear your device for at least one full day (during the day and to sleep at night), then check your score after you wake up in the morning. To see a daily readiness score, you must wear your Fitbit device for at least 14 hours." If you do not know, it is impossible to know which one it is, 24 hours, or 14 hours.

Hello everybody. The "more" link for this feature should now lead you to the desired help article containing more information. Could you guys please confirm? Thanks in advance. 

 

@LokeAa Thanks for your reply and explanation. What I can conclude after reading the article is the following.  After setup (at least 14 hours per day for 4 days) the score will be shown on the app. If it is not showing any, it did not gather enough data and one should take a look at the recommendations further in the article. Nowhere does the article state that one should wear the device for additional 24 hours after initial setup.

 

The seventh dropdown does state the following "If you already received your first score, make sure you wear your device for at least 1 full day (during the day and to sleep at night), then check your score after you wake up in the morning. To see a daily readiness score, you must wear your Fitbit device for at least 14 hours.". It does say one full day. However, according to the article and even the sentence after the "full day" statement, one must wear the device for at least 14 hours. That seems to be the minimum amount of time a day you can wear your device and still get a daily readiness score. In case the daily readiness score is not generated, Fitbit asks you to make sure you have worn the device as stated before. Please note that there are also other factors to consider. Most metrics require at least 3 hours of quality sleep in order to be generated. So one could have worn the device throughout the whole day as indicated, and still not get the daily readiness score because of the sleep quality. I understand the confusion, but that is how it actually works. Thanks for taking the time to explain.
