The way data being written to Health Connect , when the data is manually entered

I have a use case to read the data from health connect which is recorded bu Fitbit and determine the manually enetred data . Though there is a field to mention the recording method it seems like it is not being used properly , Since all the records says that the data recording method is unknown.

Would like to know any references in this regards
