Too many steps fitbit flex

My Fitbit flex is showing 25,000 more steps then I've actually stepped today. I looked back at yesterdays and I know I needed the day at 9,300 steps but it's showing a extra 10,000. What's going on? I just reset it but what causes this to happen.

Thank you. I discover that was exactly it. My fan & charger are both on my desk at night. Ghost stepper solved.

Mine started out like that.  Now I'm getting 81,000+ while i sleep.  It's the app not the fitbit. I've emailed them.  I'm averaging 345,000 ghost steps a day.  No longer fun!
