Total sleep counts only deep sleep

I've learned to live with the fact that the app counts deep sleep as total sleep, as opposed the time you are in bed. This makes meaningless all the graphs which supposedly show how you're doing versus your goal - as only how long you stay in bed is under your control, and not how well you sleep.

Just a few days ago I happen to see the same tracking on an iPhone, where everything was OK - total sleep was counted as time in bed (deep+awake), making much more sense.

Is anyone else bothered by this? I would love it if this bug could be fixed.

Nice to see you around @bluesisgreat! Let me give you a personal tip Cat Embarassed: Clear your Fitbit app Browser Cache by logging out from Fitbit app, then go to your Phone settings and find the Fitbit app, tap Clear Cache, then Clear Data and Force Close the app. Restart your tracker and log back into the Fitbit app and test your tracker. That works very well Smiley Very Happy.

I hope this helps, let me know how it goes!

Hi, Tarin,

Thanks for your response. A couple of days ago I upgraded to Marshmallow, and now I cannot find the Cache information for the apps. I go to Application Manager, select Fitbit, and the only options I have are Uninstall and Force Stop. I did chose Force Stop, but I don't think that anything happened, as the button continued to be active.

So then of course, restarting my tracker made no difference.

Please tell me where I can find the Cache/Data information on Marshmallow.

Thank you!

hi, Tarin,

I was able to do what you said - turns out that the Cache/Data is in the Storage section, and only the Force Stop is in the Application Manager (BTW - all buttons remain visible, even after activating the functions, and thus, having nothing more to clear/force stop).

So, I cleared cache, data, force stopped the application, reset the tracker, and, at least for the past data, everything is the same as before.

Will this reset affect only the new data?

thanks!

Latest report - nothing changed, I still see only deep sleep being reported as sleep.
