I just switched to an Android Nexus 5.0 after using an I-phone. The first couple times I ran with the Fitbit App (I have an Alta), I found that the "Tracking Exercise" that tracks my run would just suddenly have paused. I wouldn't notice until I was waiting for the next mile cue and it didn't come. I'd check, and it had randomly paused. I restarted my Alta according to troubleshooting suggestions, and now when I try to "track my exercise," as soon as I push the timer button in the upper right corner, it tries to find the GPS and then says "Fitbit has stopped." ANd it closes down. So I can't track my run. I have checked all the location settings that I could find, and everything seems to be correct under Permissions. Is this just a faulty device?

Welcome to the Community @MelChappy you want to track your run using the GPS function? Remember the Fitbit Alta don't have GPS enabled and/or GPS connected function, it's all on your mobile device and it depends if your cellphone is compatible to use the MobileRun function.
