It would be helpful if the app showed actual grams of protein as well as percentage of macro nutrients how do I get the app to do that

Hi @ToxicAvenger, welcome to the Community Forums! My sincere apologies for the delay in responding your post.

I appreciate the information and details that were shared in your post. Let me share with you that nutritional facts displayed in the Fitbit app are based on the food details which help us to calculate your food intake. Currently there isn't an option to adjust those details in the Fitbit app for Android and iOS users, however, this can be done in the Fitbit.com website by following the following steps:

  1. Go to fitbit.com dashboard and login using your credentials.
  2. Click on Log at the top.
  3. Click on the food's name that you want to edit.
  4. On the next screen click on Customize this Food.
  5. Adjust the details and click on save.

You can learn more about food logging on our help article: How do I track my food with the Fitbit app?. Also, if you would like this option to be implemented in the Fitbit app, I suggest you to participate in our Feature Suggestion board. We look forward to hear the ideas that are shared by our users to make sure that we are delivering what our users want and need.

Let me know if you have any additional questions.

This issue was updated on the iphone app but not android. My friends apps shows his intake in grams now and not percentage. When will this update happen for Android.
